Kick The Teddy Bear Guide: Coins, the Shop and the Best Order to Unlock Weapons

Published · 2 min read

Kick The Teddy Bear looks like pure mayhem, and it is, but there is a small economy underneath. Every hit on the bear drops a gold coin, and every weapon beyond your bare hand costs coins. A little planning gets you from a pistol to the heavy stuff much faster.

How the screen is laid out

Along the top: the home button, your coin count, then five group buttons — a pistol for guns, a sword for blades, a shuriken for throwing weapons, a chair for objects and a green bomb for explosives. The red X closes the item column. On the right sit the coins-with-a-video button, the blood-drop gore toggle and the sound button. The bar along the bottom and the level badge track the current room.

Pick a group and a column of four items appears on the left. Items with a padlock are locked. Click one and the shop opens: a striped market stall showing the item, its price and arrows to browse the rest of the group.

Coins without spending anything

With no item selected your hand is the weapon. Click and drag the bear, then let go while your mouse is still moving. He flies, hits the wall or ceiling, and drops a coin. This costs nothing and never runs out, so it is the best way to earn your first coins. Aim for the ceiling: a long fall back down is another hard landing.

The video-coins button pays 200 coins. On many sites it plays an advert first; on this site there is no ad network, so the coins arrive at once.

What to buy first

  1. The pistol. The first gun is the cheapest and the most useful: it fires wherever you click, as fast as you click, and each shot is a hit.
  2. The rest of the guns. The AK-47, an M4-style rifle and the rocket launcher follow. Rapid fire keeps the bear in the air, and an airborne bear drops coins on every bounce.
  3. Blades. Sword, axe, drill and chainsaw. They are close work — you click on the bear to use them — and look most dramatic with gore on.
  4. Throwing weapons and objects. These come in from the side or from above and push the bear into new corners of the room.
  5. Explosives last. The cannon and the rocket send him furthest. They are the fun finale, so save them until the cheaper groups are open.

Small tricks

  • Juggle him. Throw the bear upward, then switch to a gun and shoot him while he falls. Every shot and every landing counts.
  • Use the furniture. Rooms have stairs, benches and chairs. The bear bounces off them, and more bounces mean more coins.
  • Close the column when you want your hand back. The red X closes the item column so you can throw him again.
  • Turn gore off when you need to. The blood-drop toggle keeps the game cartoon-clean without changing anything else.

Saving

Progress lives in your browser's storage. Use the same browser and do not clear site data, and your coins and unlocked items will be waiting next time. In a private window they are gone when you close it.
